We've been making award-winning brandy in the heart of California at our Fresno Winery and Distillery for more than 30 years. In 1975, we made our first brandy distillation. Four years later, founder Julio Gallo began producing single-variety premium brandies for extended aging. We bottled our first brandy under the E&J Brandy label in 1980. By 1983, E&J Brandy became the number-one selling brandy in the United States. In 2003, it became the number-one selling brandy in the world.
We made our first VSOP Brandy in 1995, and we introduced our finest offering, our E&J XO Brandy, in the United States for the first time in 2004.
